Is mantra mein kavi Agni se kehte hain ki aao aur havan kund par baitho. Mere sabse acche shabd suno aur inko apna lo. Ab sawal uthata hai ki asli mein kaun tumhara apna hai - dost ya jo yagya karwata hai. Agni, tum hamare liye Mitra-Varun aur devtaon ko bali do. Unko apne ghar lao aur sachchai ke saath yeh kaam karo.

जुषस्व सप्रथस्तमं वचो देवप्सरस्तमम् । हव्या जुह्वान आसनि ॥
Agni, meri baat suno. Yeh baat bahut faili hui hai aur acchi hai. Main havan ki samagri de raha hoon. Main yahan baitha hoon aur tumse dua kar raha hoon. Ise accept karo.

अथा ते अङ्गिरस्तमाग्ने वेधस्तम प्रियम् । वोचेम ब्रह्म सानसि ॥
Agniji, tum Angiras rishiyon mein bade ho, aur tumhari buddhi se sab kaam banta hai. Hum tumhare liye woh baat bolna chahte hain jo bahut pyaari hai. Yeh baat brahman ki hai, taaki humein success mile.

कस्ते जामिर्जनानामग्ने को दाश्वध्वरः । को ह कस्मिन्नसि श्रितः ॥
Agniji, logon mein tumhara rishta kiska hai? Yagya mein daan kaun karta hai? Tum kaun ho aur kis mein tum sthit ho? Yeh sab baat hum samajhna chahte hain.

त्वं जामिर्जनानामग्ने मित्रो असि प्रियः । सखा सखिभ्य ईड्यः ॥
Agniji, tum logon ke apne ho, tum unke mitra ho aur sabko pyaare lagte ho. Dost log tumhe apna dost maante hain aur tumhari puja karte hain.

यजा नो मित्रावरुणा यजा देवाँ ऋतं बृहत् । अग्ने यक्षि स्वं दमम् ॥
Agniji, tum Mitra aur Varun ke liye yagya karo. Deviyon ke liye bhi yagya karo, yeh badi sacchai hai. Apne ghar mein unko bulao aur puja karo.
