Yeh mantra Indra ko bulata hai Soma ke samay ke liye. Vajrin naam se Indra ko pukara gaya hai. Yahan Indra se kaha gaya ki woh stuti sun lein aur accept karein. Indra ki raksha shakti ko badhaya gaya hai. Uska Vrtra ko maarne wala bal is mantra mein hai. Isse yajna karne wale ke liye veerata ka fayda milta hai.

व॒यमे॑नमि॒दा ह्योपी॑पेमे॒ह व॒ज्रिण॑म्। तस्मा॑ उ अ॒द्य स॑म॒ना सु॒तं भ॒रा नू॒नं भू॑षत श्रु॒ते
Humne aaj bhi usko yahan pilaya, kal bhi pilaya, vajra wale Indra ko. Aaj phir se sab milkar uske liye Som ras lao. Ab taiyaari karo, woh sunega jo mashhoor hai.

वृक॑श्चिदस्य वार॒ण उ॑रा॒मथि॒रा व॒युने॑षु भूषति । सेमं नः॒ स्तोमं॑ जुजुषा॒ण आ ग॒हीन्द्र॒ प्र चि॒त्रया॑ धि॒या
Uski toh bhed kiya bhi dushman bhagata hai. Jo shaktiyan hain woh apne kaam mein chamakti hain. Hamari yeh stuti sunke Indra idhar aa jao. Ache se sochke aa, humare paas.

कदू॒ न्व॑१स्याकृ॑त॒मिन्द्र॑स्यास्ति॒ पौंस्य॑म्। केनो॒ नु कं॒ श्रोम॑तेन॒ न शु॑श्रुवे ज॒नुषः॒ परि॑ वृत्र॒हा
Kab dikhata hai Indra ka kamal? Uski taakat kab saamne aati hai? Kisi ne kabhi nahi sunna ki woh paidaishi dushman maarta hai? Sab jaante hain ki woh bada hai janm se hi.
