Frequently Asked Questions

To establish an all-sided field of safety—abhaya—by seating rites in śam (auspicious peace), installing directional guardians, and forming a mantra-fortress (pur) and divine armor (varman).

Suktas 19.17 and 19.19 emphasize the pur motif, placing the practitioner/community within a ritually founded enclosure and repeatedly commanding safe entry under divine warding.

It redirects hostile forces through directional apotropaic strategy (19.18), reinforces enclosure- and quarter-guardianship (19.16–19.19), and seals the reciter with varman-armor against violence and premature death (19.20).
