vāḍava uvāca | nāhaṃ hayādibhiryānairgaṃtuṃ tatra samutsahe | kumārīkarasaṃparkamekaṃ muktvā mataṃ hi me
Vāḍava
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra (approach to apāṃ-sthāna)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Puṇḍarīkākṣa (Viṣṇu)
Scene: Vāḍava declares refusal of ordinary conveyances (horses etc.), insisting only on ‘contact with a maiden’s hand’ as the acceptable means—an enigmatic, symbolic demand.
Uncontrolled power seeks a proper, dharmic channel; only an appropriate ‘means’ can safely guide intense energies.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra is the narrative setting, where cosmic events are framed as part of the kṣetra’s sacred greatness.
No direct rite is prescribed here; it sets up the mythic condition for safely transporting the Vāḍava power.
