ययातिरुवाच । कस्मिन्काले तपस्तप्तं देव्या तत्र मुनीश्वर । किमर्थं च महत्त्वेतत्कौतुकं वक्तुमर्हसि
yayātiruvāca | kasminkāle tapastaptaṃ devyā tatra munīśvara | kimarthaṃ ca mahattvetatkautukaṃ vaktumarhasi
ययाति बोले—हे मुनीश्वर, देवी ने वहाँ किस समय तप किया था? और यह स्थान इतना महान क्यों है? कृपा करके इस अद्भुत विषय को कहने योग्य हैं।
