नाडीजंघ उवाच । यदर्थं वयमायातास्तन्न सिद्धं महामते । कार्यं तन्मरणं नूनं त्रयाणामप्युपागतम्
nāḍījaṃgha uvāca | yadarthaṃ vayamāyātāstanna siddhaṃ mahāmate | kāryaṃ tanmaraṇaṃ nūnaṃ trayāṇāmapyupāgatam
नाडी-जंघ ने कहा—हे महामति! जिस प्रयोजन से हम आए थे, वह सिद्ध नहीं हुआ। अब वही ‘कार्य’ निश्चय ही हम तीनों के लिए मृत्यु बनकर आ पहुँचा है।
