भवन्त्येतानि सर्वाणि लुब्धानामकृतात्मनाम् । सुमहां त्यपि सास्त्राणि धारयंति बहुश्रुताः
bhavantyetāni sarvāṇi lubdhānāmakṛtātmanām | sumahāṃ tyapi sāstrāṇi dhārayaṃti bahuśrutāḥ
ये लोग लोभी और असंयमी होते हैं, उनमें ये सब दोष उत्पन्न होते हैं। बहुत-सा शास्त्र सुनकर भी, बड़े-बड़े ग्रंथ धारण करने वाले भी इन्हीं में गिर पड़ते हैं।
