नवैतानि प्रकाश्यानि रहः पापमकुत्सितम् । प्रायोग्यमृणशुद्धिश्च सान्वयः क्रयविक्रयौ । कन्यादानं गुणोत्कर्षो नान्यत्केनापि कुत्रचित्
navaitāni prakāśyāni rahaḥ pāpamakutsitam | prāyogyamṛṇaśuddhiśca sānvayaḥ krayavikrayau | kanyādānaṃ guṇotkarṣo nānyatkenāpi kutracit
ये नौ बातें प्रकट न की जाएँ: गुप्त पाप (भले ही निंदित न हो), अपने प्रयोग-उपाय, ऋण-शुद्धि, कुल-परंपरा, क्रय-विक्रय, कन्यादान, और गुणों की श्रेष्ठता—किसी से, कहीं भी नहीं।
