शक्रं कोपयता पूर्वमस्मद्गोत्रेण केनचित् । पक्षहीनः कृतो यत्र धिगपक्षस्यचेष्टितम्
śakraṃ kopayatā pūrvamasmadgotreṇa kenacit | pakṣahīnaḥ kṛto yatra dhigapakṣasyaceṣṭitam
पूर्वकाल में हमारे ही गोत्र के किसी ने शक्र (इन्द्र) को क्रोधित किया था; इसलिए वहाँ वह पंखहीन कर दिया गया। धिक्कार है—पंखों के बिना किए गए प्रयत्नों को!॥
