जलाघाताट्टहासोग्रां फेननिर्मलहासिनीम्।क्वचिद्वेणीकृतजलां क्वचिदावर्तशोभिताम्।।2.50.16।।

Transliteration

jalāghātāṭṭahāsogrāṁ phena-nirmala-hāsinīm |

kvacid veṇī-kṛta-jalāṁ kvacid āvarta-śobhitām || 2.50.16 ||

Translation

उसके जल-प्रहार का गर्जन मानो उग्र अट्टहास था; उसका फेन निर्मल, हँसती-सी उज्ज्वलता लिए था। कहीं उसका प्रवाह कन्या की वेणी-सा सीधा था, और कहीं वह आवर्तों से अलंकृत होकर चमकती थी।
