धृतराष्ट्रस्य पाण्डवेषु प्रीति-वृत्तान्तः | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Affectionate Disposition toward the Pāṇḍavas

एताश्चान्याश्व विविधा: शल्यभूता नराधिप:

etāś cānyāś ca vividhāḥ śalyabhūtā narādhipaḥ

वैशम्पायन बोले— “और ये तथा अन्य नाना प्रकार की पीड़ाएँ उस नराधिप के भीतर शल्य के समान धँस गईं—उसे भीतर ही भीतर बेधती और संतप्त करती रहीं।”
