धृतराष्ट्रस्य पाण्डवेषु प्रीति-वृत्तान्तः | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Affectionate Disposition toward the Pāṇḍavas
वृकोदरस्य ता वाच: श्रुत्वा निर्वेदमागमत् । ये तथा और भी नाना प्रकारकी भीमसेनकी कही हुई कठोर बातें जो हृदयमें काँटोंके समान कसक पैदा करनेवाली थीं, राजा धृतराष्ट्रने सुनीं। सुनकर उन्हें बड़ा खेद हुआ ।।
vaishampāyana uvāca |
vṛkodarasya tā vācaḥ śrutvā nirvedam āgamat |
वैशम्पायन बोले— “वृकोदर (भीम) की वे वाणी सुनकर राजा धृतराष्ट्र के मन में वैराग्य और गहरा खेद उत्पन्न हुआ। और वह बुद्धिमती देवी भी काल के परिवर्तन को जाननेवाली थी।”
