dvādaśyāṃ dharmatattvajñaṃ śrautasmārtapravartakam trayodaśyāṃ jaḍāṃ nārīṃ sarvasaṃkarakāriṇīm
द्वादशी को धर्मतत्त्वज्ञ और श्रौत-स्मार्त कर्मों का प्रवर्तक पुत्र होता है। त्रयोदशी को जड़ बुद्धि वाली और वर्णसंकर कारिणी कन्या होती है।
