सूर्यरथनिर्णयः (चन्द्रस्य पक्षवृद्धिक्षयविधानम्)

āpūrayan suṣumnena bhāgaṃ bhāgamanukramāt ityeṣā sūryavīryeṇa candrasyāpyāyitā tanuḥ
सुषुम्ना के द्वारा क्रमशः अंश-अंश को भरते हुए—इस प्रकार सूर्य के वीर्य से चन्द्र का शरीर पोषित होकर बढ़ता है।
Suta Goswami (narrating the Purana’s teaching to the sages; internal yogic-cosmic explanation)
It links outer worship to inner yoga: as the Moon is nourished by the Sun’s power, the devotee (pashu) is strengthened by directing prāṇa through the central channel, making the body-mind fit for steadfast Shiva-bhakti and Linga-upāsanā.
Shiva-tattva is implied as Pati—the sovereign regulator behind cosmic and subtle processes—by whose ordinance energies circulate and sustain beings; the Sun–Moon dynamic becomes a sign of ordered power (śakti) operating under the Lord.
A nāḍī-centered yogic discipline: guiding prāṇa through Suṣumnā step-by-step (krama), akin to Pāśupata-oriented inner practice where breath and energy are refined to loosen pāśa (bondage).
