Sukta 135
तां ह जरितर्नः प्रत्यगृभ्णंस्तामु ह जरितर्नः प्रत्यगृभ्णः । अहानेतरसं न वि चेतनानि यज्ञानेतरसं न पुरोगवामः
tā́m ha jaritar naḥ prátyagṛbhṇan tā́m u ha jaritar naḥ prátyagṛbhṇaḥ | áhān-itarasaṃ naḥ ví cetánāni yajñān-itarasaṃ naḥ púro-gavāmaḥ
That, indeed, O Singer, for us they have received; that, moreover, O Singer, for us they have received. Not other than the days be our discernments; not other than sacrifice—may we be cattle-foremost.
उसको, निश्चय ही, हे जरितर, हमारे लिए उन्होंने ग्रहण किया; और उसी को, हे जरितर, हमारे लिए उन्होंने ग्रहण किया। हमारे विवेक दिन-रात से भिन्न न हों; और यज्ञ से भिन्न नहीं—हम पुरोगवा (पशुओं में अग्रणी) हों।
