Sukta 3
दक्षिणां दिशमभि नक्षमाणौ पर्यावर्तेथामभि पात्रमेतत्। तस्मिन् वां यमः पितृभिः संविदानः पक्वाय शर्म बहुलं नि यच्छात्
dákṣiṇā́m díśam abhí nákṣamāṇau paryā́varteथām abhí pā́tram etát | tásmin vāṃ yamáḥ pitṛ́bhiḥ saṃvidānáḥ pakvā́ya śárma bahuláṃ ní yacchāt ||
Seeking the southern quarter, turn ye about, encompassing this vessel. Therein may Yama, in concord with the Fathers, bestow for the cooked oblation abundant shelter and sure protection.
दक्षिण दिशा की ओर लक्ष्य करके तुम दोनों घूमो, इस पात्र को चारों ओर से घेरते हुए। उसी में यम पितरों के साथ संमति में, पकी हुई आहुति के लिए बहुत-सा शरण और दृढ़ रक्षा प्रदान करे।
