प्राचींप्राचीं प्रदिशमा रभेथामेतं लोकं श्रद्दधानाः सचन्ते । यद् वां पक्वं परिविष्टमग्नौ तस्य गुप्तये दंपती सं श्रयेथाम्

IAST Transliteration

prā́cīṁ-prā́cīṁ pradíśam ā́ rabhéthām etáṁ lokáṁ śraddádhānāḥ sacante | yád vā́ṁ pakváṁ parivíṣṭam agnáu tásya gúptaye dampatī́ sáṁ śrayethām ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Eastward—still eastward—seize ye the quarter; unto this world the faithful cleave and follow. What for you twain is cooked and duly served about in the Fire, for the guarding of that, O Husband and Wife, together take your station.

Translation

पूर्व की ओर—और भी पूर्व की ओर—तुम दोनों उस दिशा को ग्रहण करो; श्रद्धावान जन इसी लोक से जुड़ते और इसके साथ चलते हैं। जो अन्न तुम्हारे लिए अग्नि में पकाया गया है और विधिपूर्वक परोसा गया है, उसकी रक्षा के लिए, हे दंपती (पति-पत्नी), तुम दोनों साथ-साथ अपना स्थान ग्रहण करो।
