Sukta 3
सप्त मेधान् पशवः पर्यगृह्णन् य एषां ज्योतिष्मां उत यश्चकर्श । त्रयस्त्रिंशद् देवतास्तान्त्सचन्ते स नः स्वर्गमभि नेष लोकम्
saptá medhā́m̐ paśávaḥ páry agṛhṇan yá eṣā́ṃ jyótiṣmān utá yáś cakárṣa | tráyastriṃśad devátās tā́nt sacante sá no svargám abhí neṣa lokám ||
Seven powers of insight the cattle have encompassed—he who among them is luminous, and he who hath fashioned them. The Thirty-and-Three Deities attend on him: may he lead us onward unto the heavenly world.
सात मेधाएँ (अन्तर्दृष्टि-शक्तियाँ) पशुओं ने चारों ओर से घेर लीं—उनमें जो ज्योतिर्मान है, और जिसने उन्हें रचा है। तैंतीस देवता उसके साथ चलते हैं; वही हमें स्वर्ग-लोक की ओर ले चले।
