स्थानसमां शय्यामर्धापाश्रयां दुर्गे साम्नाह्याउपवाह्यानां बहिर्दम्यव्यालानाम् ॥ कZ_०२.३१.०४ ॥

Transliteration

sthāna-samāṃ śayyām ardha-āpāśrayāṃ durge sāmnāhya-upavāhyānāṃ bahir damya-vyālānām

Translation

उसे स्थान के बराबर शय्या (बिछावन) और आंशिक आश्रय देना चाहिए; दुर्ग के भीतर उन हाथियों के लिए जो जुए/साज में जोते जाने और सवारी/सेवा के योग्य हों, और बाहर उन के लिए जो अभी वश में किए जा रहे हों तथा उग्र/खतरनाक पशुओं के लिए।
