Chapter 338 — शृङ्गारादिरसनिरूपणम्

Exposition of the Rasas beginning with Śṛṅgāra

हर्षादिजन्मवाक्सङ्गः स्वरभेदो भयादिभिः मनोवैक्लव्यमिच्छन्ति शोकमिष्टक्षयादिभिः

harṣādijanmavāksaṅgaḥ svarabhedo bhayādibhiḥ manovaiklavyamicchanti śokamiṣṭakṣayādibhiḥ

हर्ष आदि भावों से वाणी का रुक जाना या हकलाना होता है; भय आदि से स्वर में भेद (परिवर्तन) होता है; और शोक, प्रिय वस्तु के क्षय आदि से मन की विकलता उत्पन्न होती है—ऐसा माना गया है।
