शिवरात्र्यां तु कर्त्तव्यमेतद्गोप्यं मम प्रियम् । एवं कृते च यत्पुण्यं गदितुं तन्न शक्यते
śivarātryāṃ tu karttavyametadgopyaṃ mama priyam | evaṃ kṛte ca yatpuṇyaṃ gadituṃ tanna śakyate
આ કર્મ શિવરાત્રિમાં જ કરવું જોઈએ; આ મારું પ્રિય અને ગુપ્ત વિધાન છે. આમ કરવાથી જે પુણ્ય થાય છે, તેનું વર્ણન શક્ય નથી।
