saurāṣṭraviṣaye śubhre dhanadhānyasamākule | atha kālāṃtare tatra anāvṛṣṭirabhūddvijāḥ

ધન-ધાન્યથી સમૃદ્ધ એવા શુભ્ર સૌરાષ્ટ્ર પ્રદેશમાં, થોડા કાળ પછી, હે દ્વિજોઃ, ત્યાં અનાવૃષ્ટિ (વર્ષાનો અભાવ) થયો.
