निवासाय प्रभोऽस्माकं स्थानं किंचित्समादिश । अहं श्रेष्ठो ह्यहं श्रेष्ठ इत्येवं ते परस्परम् । जल्पंतः सर्वतो देव पर्यटंति यथेच्छया
nivāsāya prabho'smākaṃ sthānaṃ kiṃcitsamādiśa | ahaṃ śreṣṭho hyahaṃ śreṣṭha ityevaṃ te parasparam | jalpaṃtaḥ sarvato deva paryaṭaṃti yathecchayā
“હે પ્રભુ, અમારા નિવાસ માટે કોઈ સ્થાન નિર્ધારિત કરો.” પછી તેઓ પરસ્પર “હું શ્રેષ્ઠ, હું જ શ્રેષ્ઠ” એમ બોલતા, હે દેવ, વાતો કરતાં કરતાં ઇચ્છા મુજબ સર્વત્ર ફરતા રહ્યા.
