मासैश्चतुर्भिर्यत्पुण्यं विधिनाऽपूज्य शंकरम् । कार्त्तिक्यां स लभेत्पुण्यं चैत्र्यां तद्द्विगुणं स्मृतम् । पुण्यमेतत्तु फाल्गुन्यामाषाढ्यामेवमेव तु
māsaiścaturbhiryatpuṇyaṃ vidhinā'pūjya śaṃkaram | kārttikyāṃ sa labhetpuṇyaṃ caitryāṃ taddviguṇaṃ smṛtam | puṇyametattu phālgunyāmāṣāḍhyāmevameva tu
ચાર માસ સુધી વિધિપૂર્વક શંકરનું પૂજન કરવાથી જે પુણ્ય મળે, તે પુણ્ય કાર્તિકમાં પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે; ચૈત્રમાં તે દ્વિગુણ સ્મૃત છે. ફાલ્ગુન તથા આષાઢમાં પણ એ જ રીતે પુણ્યફળ કહેલું છે.
