Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Hiraṇyā
Type: river
Listener: Mahādevī (Pārvatī)
Scene: Śiva (Īśvara) instructs Devī, gesturing toward a luminous river named Hiraṇyā; pilgrims approach the riverbank with offerings; the river glows ‘golden’ in tone to match its name.
A sacred tīrtha is portrayed as both a purifier of sin and a supporter of worldly stability when approached with dharmic intent.
The Hiraṇyā river/tīrtha within the Prabhāsa sacred region.
The instruction is to go (gacchet) to the Hiraṇyā tīrtha as the next step in pilgrimage.
