एवमुक्तः स वै विप्रः करोत्येवाभिवादनम् । न वर्णावरजं वेत्ति बालभावाद्वरानने
evamuktaḥ sa vai vipraḥ karotyevābhivādanam | na varṇāvarajaṃ vetti bālabhāvādvarānane
આ રીતે ઉપદેશ પામીને તે બાળ-વિપ્રે અભિવાદન તો કર્યું; પરંતુ હે સુમુખી, બાળભાવના કારણે વર્ણોમાં જ્યેષ્ઠ-કનિષ્ઠનો યોગ્ય ક્રમ તે સમજી શક્યો નહીં।
