ईश्वर उवाच । ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि मार्कण्डेयेशमुत्तमम् । तस्मादुत्तरदिग्भागे मार्कण्डेन प्रतिष्ठितम्
īśvara uvāca | tato gacchenmahādevi mārkaṇḍeyeśamuttamam | tasmāduttaradigbhāge mārkaṇḍena pratiṣṭhitam
ઈશ્વરે કહ્યું—હે મહાદેવી! ત્યાર પછી ઉત્તમ માર્કંડેયેશ્વરના દર્શન માટે જવું જોઈએ; તે ત્યાંથી ઉત્તર દિશાભાગમાં, માર્કંડે પ્રતિષ્ઠિત કરેલું છે.
