हानिश्च संततेः प्रोक्ता दौर्भाग्यं समवाप्नुयात् । द्रव्याभावेथ श्राद्धस्य विधिं वक्ष्यामि तत्त्वतः
hāniśca saṃtateḥ proktā daurbhāgyaṃ samavāpnuyāt | dravyābhāvetha śrāddhasya vidhiṃ vakṣyāmi tattvataḥ
સંતતિની હાનિ કહેવાઈ છે અને દુર્ભાગ્ય પણ આવી શકે. હવે દ્રવ્યના અભાવે શ્રાદ્ધની વિધિ હું તત્ત્વથી કહું છું।
