Transliteration

dhiṅmamārthaṃ tathā madyaṃ mahimānamakīrtidam | yenā viṣṭena sumahanmayā pāpamidaṃ kṛtam

Translation

‘મારા અહંકારને ધિક્કાર, અને તે મદ્યને પણ ધિક્કાર—જે સાચી મહિમા હરી લે છે અને માત્ર અપકીર્તિ આપે છે. એ ઘૃણિત મત્તતાથી મેં આ અતિ મહાપાપ કર્યું।’
