उपहूतोपहूतेन आगतेषु द्विजन्मसु । क्रियमाणे तथा भक्ष्ये दृष्ट्वा देवी क्रुधान्विता । उवाच देवी ब्रह्माणं सदोमध्ये तु मौनिनम्
upahūtopahūtena āgateṣu dvijanmasu | kriyamāṇe tathā bhakṣye dṛṣṭvā devī krudhānvitā | uvāca devī brahmāṇaṃ sadomadhye tu mauninam
આમંત્રણ અને પ્રતિઆમંત્રણથી દ્વિજગણ આવી પહોંચ્યા હતા અને ભોજન તૈયાર થતું હતું. તે જોઈ દેવી ક્રોધથી ભરાઈ ગઈ અને સભામધ્યે મૌન બેઠેલા બ્રહ્માને બોલી.
