देव्युवाच । यदा भ्रमिस्थः सविता तक्षितः क्षुरधारया । श्वशुरेण महादेव जामाता प्रीतिपूर्वकम्
devyuvāca | yadā bhramisthaḥ savitā takṣitaḥ kṣuradhārayā | śvaśureṇa mahādeva jāmātā prītipūrvakam
દેવીએ કહ્યું—હે મહાદેવ! જ્યારે ભ્રમિસ્થમાં સ્થિત સવિતા (સૂર્ય)ને તેના શ્વશુરે, પ્રિય જમાઈ માનીને, પ્રેમપૂર્વક ક્ષુરધારાથી તક્ષિત કર્યો ત્યારે—
