एवं स्तुतस्तदा सर्वैरृषिभिर्गतकल्मषैः । ततस्तुष्टो महादेवस्तेषां प्रत्यक्षतां गतः । अब्रवीत्तानृषीन्देवो वृणुध्वं वरमुत्तमम्
evaṃ stutastadā sarvairṛṣibhirgatakalmaṣaiḥ | tatastuṣṭo mahādevasteṣāṃ pratyakṣatāṃ gataḥ | abravīttānṛṣīndevo vṛṇudhvaṃ varamuttamam
આ રીતે પાપરહિત થયેલા સર્વ ઋષિઓ દ્વારા સ્તુતિ પામીને મહાદેવ પ્રસન્ન થયા અને તેમની સામે પ્રત્યક્ષ પ્રગટ થયા. ત્યારબાદ દેવે ઋષિઓને કહ્યું—“ઉત્તમ વર પસંદ કરો.”
