पुराऽसीत्पार्थिवोनाम इंद्रसेनो महीपतिः । तस्याऽसीत्सुप्रिया भार्या सुनन्दानाम भामिनी । पतिव्रता पतिप्राणा सदा पत्युः प्रिये स्थिता

પૂર્વકાળમાં ઇન્દ્રસેન નામનો એક રાજા હતો, તે ધરતીનો અધિપતિ હતો. તેની સുനંદા નામની અતિ પ્રિય પત્ની હતી—પતિવ્રતા, પતિને જ પ્રાણ સમ માનનારી, સદા પતિને પ્રિય હોય તેમાં સ્થિત.
