पुलस्त्य उवाच । पुरा वृष्टिनिरोधोऽभूद्यावद्द्वादशवत्सरान् । संशयं परमं प्राप्तः सर्वो लोकः क्षुधार्दितः
pulastya uvāca | purā vṛṣṭinirodho'bhūdyāvaddvādaśavatsarān | saṃśayaṃ paramaṃ prāptaḥ sarvo lokaḥ kṣudhārditaḥ
પુલસ્ત્ય બોલ્યા: પ્રાચીન કાળમાં બાર વર્ષ સુધી વરસાદ થયો ન હતો. ભૂખથી પીડાઈને સમગ્ર સંસાર ઘોર સંકટ અને સંશયમાં પડી ગયો હતો.
