Puraścaraṇa and the Discipline of the Mantra-Sādhaka
na tasya durlabhaṃ kiṃcinna tasyāstyaśubhaṃ kvacit | iha vidyāṃ śriyaṃ saukhyaṃ labdhvā muktiṃ ca viṃdati

It declares the fruit of steadfast Shiva-bhakti: by the grace of Pati (Shiva), inauspicious bonds (pāśa) lose their power, and the seeker gains both right knowledge (vidyā) and final liberation (mokṣa).
The verse reflects the Shiva Purana’s promise that reverent worship of Saguna Shiva—especially through Linga-upāsanā—brings auspiciousness in life (śrī, sukha) and culminates in liberation through Shiva’s saving grace.
A practical takeaway is daily Shiva-upāsanā with mantra-japa (especially the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and disciplined conduct, seeking both inner vidyā and freedom from aśubha.
