सोम उ षुवाणः सोतृभिरधि ष्णुभिरवीनाम् । अश्वयेव हरिता याति धारया मन्द्रया याति धारया ॥
Transliteration
sóma u ṣuvānáḥ sotṛ́bhir ádhi snúbhir avī́nām | áśvayā-iva harítā yāti dhā́rayā mandráyā yāti dhā́rayā ||
Translation
સોમ તો ખરેખર, સોતૃઓ દ્વારા પીડાતો, અવીનામ્ (ભેંસના ઊન)ની રિજાઓ પર વહે છે. અશ્વ સમો હરિત-સુવર્ણ તે ધારા દ્વારા જાય છે; મન્દ (આનંદમય) ધારા દ્વારા જાય છે.
