Sukta 8.60
शोचा शोचिष्ठ दीदिहि विशे मयो रास्व स्तोत्रे महाँ असि । देवानां शर्मन्मम सन्तु सूरयः शत्रूषाहः स्वग्नयः ॥
śócā śóciṣṭha dīdihí viśé máyo rásva stótre mahā́ṃ asi | devā́nāṃ śárman máma santu sūráyaḥ śatrū-sā́haḥ sv-agnáyaḥ ||
હે અતિ તેજસ્વી (અગ્નિ), પ્રજાજન માટે પ્રજ્વલિત થા, દીપ્તિમાન થા. અમારા સ્તોત્રને ‘મયઃ’—આનંદદાયક કૃપા—અર્પ; કારણ કે તું મહાન છે. દેવોના શર્મન્ (આશ્રય)માં મારા સૂરીઓ રહે—શત્રુવિજયી, સ્વ-અગ્નિ (અંતરમાં શુભ અગ્નિ) ધરાવનારા.
