Sukta 8.23

Devata: Agni (with Mitra-like harmonizing aspect)

यज्ञेभिरद्भुतक्रतुं यं कृपा सूदयन्त इत् । मित्रं न जने सुधितमृतावनि ॥

yajñébhi r ádbhutakratúṃ yáṃ kṛpā́ sū́dayante ít | mitráṃ ná jané su-dhítam ṛtā́vani ||

યજ્ઞો દ્વારા અદ્ભુતક્રતુ એવા તેને—જેને કૃપા પ્રજ્વલિત કરે છે—જનોમાં મિત્ર સમાન, પ્રજામાં સુસ્થાપિત. તે ઋતાવન છે: ઋત—સત્ય-વ્યવસ્થાનું રક્ષણ કરે છે.
