Sukta 6.17
एवा पाहि प्रत्नथा मन्दतु त्वा श्रुधि ब्रह्म वावृधस्वोत गीर्भिः । आविः सूर्यं कृणुहि पीपिहीषो जहि शत्रूँरभि गा इन्द्र तृन्धि ॥
evā́ pāhi pratná-thā mándatu tvā śrudhí bráhma vāvṛdhasvóta gī́rbhiḥ | āvíḥ sū́ryaṃ kṛṇuhí pīpihī́ṣo jahí śátrūn abhí gā́ indra tṛndhi ||
એ રીતે, પ્રાચીન રીત પ્રમાણે રક્ષા કર અને સ્વીકાર કર; તે તને આનંદિત કરે. બ્રહ્મ (મંત્ર) સાંભળ; અમારી ગીર્ભિઃ (સ્તુતિઓ) દ્વારા વધ. સૂર્યને પ્રગટ કર; સોમથી પીપિહીષઃ (ઉછળતા/ફૂલતા) બની, શત્રુઓને સંહાર; અને ઇન્દ્ર, ગાઓ/કિરણોને અમારી તરફ હાંકી લાવ.
