Sukta 10.29
मात्रे नु ते सुमिते इन्द्र पूर्वी द्यौर्मज्मना पृथिवी काव्येन । वराय ते घृतवन्तः सुतासः स्वाद्मन्भवन्तु पीतये मधूनि ॥
mā́tre nu te sumíte indra pū́rvī dyáur májmanā pṛthivī́ kā́vyena | várāya te ghṛtávantaḥ sutā́saḥ svā́dman bhavantu pītáye mádhūni ||
હે ઇન્દ્ર, તારા સુમિતે (સુ-માપમાં) પ્રાચીન યુગલ—દ્યુઃ (આકાશ) પોતાની મહિમાથી અને પૃથિવી કાવ્યેન (ઋષિ-રચનાથી)—માતાની માપણી સમાન આધારરૂપે સ્થિત છે. તારા વર માટે ઘૃતવંતઃ સુતાસઃ (ઘૃત-સમ તેજ ધરાવતા પિષિત સોમ) પીવા માટે મધૂનિ બનીને સ્વાદ્મન્ (મધુર રસ) થાય; તારા પાન માટે તે શુદ્ધ અને તેજોમય આનંદ બની રહે.
