युद्धकाण्डे द्विनवतितमः सर्गः

शल्यसंपीडितंशस्तंनिःश्वसन्तंतुंलक्ष्मणम् ।रामस्तुदुःखसन्तप्तंतंतुनिःश्वासपीडितम् ।।।।मूर्ध्निचैनमुपाघ्रायभूयःसंस्पृश्य च त्वरन् ।उवाचलक्ष्मणंवाक्यमाश्वास्यपुरुषर्षभः ।।।।
śalyasaṃpīḍitaṃ śastaṃ niḥśvasantaṃ tuṃ lakṣmaṇam |
rāmas tu duḥkhasantaptaṃ taṃ tu niḥśvāsapīḍitam || 6.92.11 ||
mūrdhni cainam upāghrāya bhūyaḥ saṃspṛśya ca tvaran |
uvāca lakṣmaṇaṃ vākyam āśvāsya puruṣarṣabhaḥ || 6.92.12 ||
શસ્ત્રોના શલ્યથી પીડિત, ઘાયલ લક્ષ્મણ ભારે શ્વાસ લેતો હતો. તેની સ્થિતિથી દુઃખસંતપ્ત રામે ફરી તેના મસ્તકને ચુંબન કર્યું અને ત્વરાથી સ્પર્શ કર્યો; પછી પુરુષર્ષભ રામે લક્ષ્મણને આશ્વાસન આપતાં વચન કહ્યું.
Lakshmana, a bull among men, body tormented by arrows, immersed in pain, breathing heavily. Rama stroking him, restoring his confidence, quickly spoke as follows.
