The Slaying of Indrajit
सौरेणास्त्रणतवदीरोलक्ष्मणःपर्यवारयत् ।अस्त्रंनिवारितंदृष्टवारावणिःक्रोथमूर्छितः ।।।।आददेनिशितंबाणमासुरंशत्रुदारुणम् ।
saureṇāstreṇa tad vīro lakṣmaṇaḥ paryavārayat |
astraṃ nivāritaṃ dṛṣṭvā rāvaṇiḥ krodhamūrcchitaḥ ||
ādade niśitaṃ bāṇam āsuraṃ śatrudāruṇam ||6.91.59||
ત્યારે વીર લક્ષ્મણે સૌર અસ્ત્રથી તે અસ્ત્રને અટકાવ્યું. પોતાનું અસ્ત્ર નિવારિત થયું જોઈ રાવણિ (ઇન્દ્રજિત) ક્રોધમાં મૂર્છિત થઈ, શત્રુઓ માટે ભયંકર એવો તીક્ષ્ણ આસુર બાણ ઉઠાવ્યો.
Then Lakshmana used a Sun missile and repelled (Indrajith's fire missile). Seeing his missile obstructed, Indrajith deluded with anger used a sharp Asura missile capable of destroying the enemy.
