rājā daśaratho nāma rathakuñjaravājimān; pitevā bandhur lokasya sureśvarasamadyutiḥ.

Translation

દશરથ નામે એક મહારાજા હતા, રથો, કુંજરો (હાથીઓ) અને વાજિ (ઘોડા)થી સમૃદ્ધ; લોક માટે પિતાસમાન અને મિત્રસમાન, તથા દેવેશ ઇન્દ્ર સમ તેજસ્વી હતા.
