Ravana and Prahasta Question Hanuman
राजानं द्रष्टुकामेन मयास्त्रमनुवर्तितम्।।।।विमुक्तो ह्यहमस्त्रेण राक्षसैस्त्वभिपीडितः।केनचिद्राजकार्येण सम्प्राप्तोऽस्मि तवान्तिकम्।।।।
rājānaṃ draṣṭukāmena mayā astram anuvartitam |
vimukto hy aham astreṇa rākṣasais tv abhipīḍitaḥ |
kenacid rājakāryeṇa samprāpto ’smi tavāntikam ||
“રાજાને જોવા ઇચ્છાથી મેં તે અસ્ત્રના પ્રભાવને સ્વીકાર્યો. રાક્ષસોથી પીડિત હોવા છતાં અસ્ત્રથી હું મુક્ત થયો; અને રાજકાર્યના કોઈ હેતુથી હું તમારા સમીપ આવ્યો છું.”
Know that I am a messenger of the highly powerful Rama. O lord! please listen to these beneficial words of mine meant for your welfare.ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē sundarakāṇḍē pañcāśassargaḥ৷৷Thus ends the fiftieth sarga of Sundarakanda of the holy Ramayana, the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.
