द्वितीयं कारणं यच्च ब्रवीषि विनयान्विते।रामादन्यस्य नार्हामि संस्पर्शमिति जानकि ।।5.38.4।।एतत्ते सदृशं देवि पत्न्यास्तस्य महात्मनः।का ह्यन्या त्वामृते देवि ब्रूयाद्वचनमीदृशम्।।5.38.5।।

dvitīyaṃ kāraṇaṃ yac ca bravīṣi vinayānvitē |

rāmād anyasya nārhāmi saṃsparśam iti jānaki || 5.38.4 ||

etat te sadṛśaṃ devi patnyās tasya mahātmanaḥ |

kā hy anyā tvām ṛte devi brūyād vacanam īdṛśam || 5.38.5 ||

અને બીજું કારણ, હે વિનયવતી, જે તું કહે છે—‘રામ સિવાય બીજા કોઈનો સ્પર્શ હું સ્વીકારવા યોગ્ય નથી,’ હે જાનકી—આ તો તે મહાત્માની પત્ની તરીકે તને જ શોભે છે. હે દેવી, તારા સિવાય બીજી કોણ આવી વાણી બોલી શકે?
