बालकाण्डे एकविंशः सर्गः

जया च सुप्रभा चैव दक्षकन्ये सुमध्यमे।ते सुवातेऽस्त्रशस्त्राणि शतं परमभास्वरम्।।।।

jayā ca suprabhā caiva dakṣa-kanye sumadhyame | te suvāte ’stra-śastrāṇi śataṃ parama-bhāsvaram ||

દક્ષની કન્યાઓ—સુમધ્યમા જયા અને સુપ્રભા—એમણે પરમ તેજસ્વી એવા સો અસ્ત્ર-શસ્ત્રોને જન્મ આપ્યો.
