ध्रुवमद्य महाराजो दुःखं स्वपिति लक्ष्मण।कृतकामा तु कैकेयी तुष्टा भवितुमर्हति।।।।

dhruvam adya mahārājo duḥkhaṃ svapiti lakṣmaṇa | kṛtakāmā tu kaikeyī tuṣṭā bhavitum arhati ||

હે લક્ષ્મણ, નિશ્ચયે આજે રાત્રે મહારાજ દુઃખમાં સૂઈ રહ્યા છે; પરંતુ ઇચ્છા પૂર્ણ થયેલી કૈકેયી તો સંતોષમાં હોવી જોઈએ.
