Gifts to Suyajna and the Brahmins; Trijata’s Petition and Rama’s Charity
अगस्त्यं कौशिकं चैव तावुभौ ब्राह्मणोत्तमौ।अर्चयाहूय सौमित्रे रत्नैस्सस्यमिवाम्बुभिः।।।।
agastyaṃ kauśikaṃ caiva tāv ubhau brāhmaṇottamau |
arcayāhūya saumitre ratnaiḥ sasyam ivāmbubhiḥ ||
હે સૌમિત્રે (લક્ષ્મણ), અગસ્ત્ય અને કૌશિક—એ બંને બ્રાહ્મણોત્તમોને બોલાવી આમંત્રિત કર; અને જેમ વરસાદનું જળ ઉભા પાકને પોષે તેમ રત્નાદિ અમૂલ્ય દાન વરસાવી તેમને પૂજ્ય સન્માન આપ.
Satisfy them, O highly-armed Lakshmana, O bestower of honour! with a thousand cows, gold, silver and with the great wealth of gems.
