न च काञ्चनचित्रं ते पश्यामि प्रियदर्शन।भद्रासनं पुरस्कृत्य यान्तं वीर पुरस्कृतम्।।।।
na ca kāñcanacitraṃ te paśyāmi priyadarśana | bhadrāsanaṃ puraskṛtya yāntaṃ vīra puraskṛtam ||
હે પ્રિયદર્શન! હે વીર! સોનાથી અલંકૃત મંગલ ભદ્રાસનને આગળ રાખીને, પરંપરા મુજબ આગળ ચાલતા તારા સેવકોને પણ હું નથી જોતો.
O heroic one! O handsome one! how is it that I do not see your attendants proceeding in front with the throne carved in gold?
Dharma is expressed as respect for established duties and public symbols of office; their absence suggests a deviation from the expected righteous course.
Sītā observes that even the throne/royal seat is not being carried before Rāma, deepening her suspicion that coronation is not proceeding.
