Proposal for Rāma’s Installation as Heir-Apparent
वत्सश्श्रेयसि जातस्ते दिष्ट्याऽसौ तव राघव।दिष्ट्या पुत्रगुणैर्युक्तो मारीच इव काश्यपः।।2.2.49।।
vatsaḥ śreyasi jātas te diṣṭyā ’sau tava rāghava | diṣṭyā putraguṇair yukto mārīca iva kāśyapaḥ || 2.2.49 ||
હે રાઘવ, દૈવકૃપાથી તને કલ્યાણ માટે એવો પુત્ર પ્રાપ્ત થયો છે; દૈવકૃપાથી જ તે આદર્શ પુત્રના ગુણોથી યુક્ત છે—જેમ કાશ્યપનો પુત્ર મારીચ હતો.
